This page describes how Tawali handles information in the app and on this website.

Your entries
Tawali stores the dates, names, notes, reminders, subscription details, vehicle and home records, and card images you choose to add. These are saved on your device. You do not need a Tawali account.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync with Pro, supported app data is stored in your private CloudKit database under your Apple Account and synchronized across your devices. Apple operates this service. Turning sync off does not itself delete data already stored in iCloud.
Backups and deletion
Pro can export backup files containing your records, supported preferences and card photos to a location you choose. Restoring a backup is free. Settings provides controls to manage or delete app data. Copies you exported or shared are separate and must be managed where you saved them.
Photos, scanning and voice
Features ask for system permissions when needed. Text scanning uses Apple’s on-device text recognition. Voice entry uses Apple speech recognition; it runs on-device when supported, and otherwise may send audio to Apple for processing. You can change permissions in your device’s Settings.
Imports, AI Assist and image links
Tawali can import items you choose from Apple Reminders and from supported data you provide. AI Assist prepares content for an external AI service of your choice; that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply. Review what you share with it. Loading an image from a web address sends a network request to that image’s host.
Purchases
Apple handles payments and subscriptions. Tawali uses StoreKit purchase information to check and restore Pro access. Tawali does not receive your payment-card details.
App analytics
The app uses self-hosted Aptabase analytics to understand feature usage and reliability. Events include actions, general options or counts, session information, app version, device/operating-system information and language. Tracked entry names, notes and dates are not included in these events. The receiving server receives network information such as an IP address. The current app initializes analytics on launch and has no in-app analytics opt-out. Hosting location, server logs, retention and processor details need to be finalized in this policy before launch.
This website and contacting us
This site itself does not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers or cookies, and serves its fonts and media locally. The hosting provider may process network requests and access logs; its details will be added before publication. If you email us, the email provider processes your message and address so we can respond. Avoid sending sensitive app records unless necessary for your request.
Your choices and questions
Use device Settings to manage permissions and Apple subscription controls. Use Tawali Settings to manage data, backups and optional iCloud sync. For privacy questions or requests, contact tawaliapp@gmail.com. The publisher’s legal identity and applicable retention and deletion arrangements will be confirmed before the public release.
